Spectator parking is available in the 'super lot' east of Main Street, and on side streets along the parade route. The Jerry's Tire Sales lot is reserved for handicap parking. Portapots will be available at Walgreen's, First Mid Bank & Trust, and Big Daddy's. Newsong Fellowship (201 St. Louis Street) will be open to the public as a handicap accessible warming center, with restrooms available between 6:30-8:30PM; hot chocolate will also be available.
Businesses and community organizations invest significant time and dollars to create beautiful floats, and we hope everyone who comes out tonight enjoys the parade. Unless a public safety is risk is determined, the parade will occur rain or shine. Those who prefer to watch from the warmth of their homes can catch the parade live on Facebook via the city of Edwardsville's page, and after the parade it will remain available on the city's YouTube channel.
Halloween parade winners in each of the five judging categories, including the grand champion, will be announced by the Edwardsville Intelligencer. FAN FAVORITE voting will be available on the Ed/Glen Chamber's Facebook page Thursday, November 2.

Trick-or-Treating
Please direct trick-or-treating questions to the city of Edwardsville and the village of Glen Carbon.
In Case of Inclement Weather
In the case of inclement weather, the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce, along with City of Edwardsville officials, will make a determination between 5 and 5:30pm Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Due to IDOT's state road closure permitting process, there is no make-up date for the annual Halloween parade. If there is no announcement on the chamber's Facebook page, the community can assume the parade is occurring as scheduled.
"I am optimistic that this annual tradition will continue in 2023, provided participants and spectators have a safe environment from which to enjoy the parade. Although the parade has been delayed for rain in the past, we are unaware of the parade being cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. We respect the significant investment of time and funds from all involved and will do everything in our power, weather permitting, to ensure the 2023 Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce Halloween parade occurs," said Ed/Glen Chamber President & CEO Desiree Bennyhoff.

An Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Tradition
Each year on Halloween night, thousands of spectators line the downtown Edwardsville streets in anticipation of this annual tradition. The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce has brought the Halloween parade to the community for more than 100 years. Marching bands, school groups, organizations, entertainers, and approximately 100 floats take to the streets.
