The Edwardsville/Glen
Carbon Chamber of Commerce Education
Committee was established in September of
2004 to support professional development of
the business community by providing
opportunities to enhance business and
leadership skills, serve as an information
resource for educational programs, and
foster partnerships which advance workforce
preparedness. The committee is comprised of
business and education consultants from area
educational institutions and private firms
and is chaired by Carla Coury of Lewis &
Clark Community College.
Since commencement of this committee,
programs ranging in focus from customer
service to business operations to technology
to leadership have filled the Chamber’s
calendar. The committee coordinates programs
for the business community to address the
most requested topics.
Programs are designed to be low cost,
affordable, and accessible to employees and
leaders from businesses of all sizes.
Program fees are established on a
cost-recovery basis by the Chamber, and most
include a light breakfast or lunch.
